Thanks Kezo. I used that app to get to the one I mentioned. Now the Invicta Ford dealerships are not listed so obviously they’ve come off the scheme. As for emailing Motability, not having much luck in opening up a dialogue with them through email.

Manufacturers are still struggling or so they say, it also seems some Manufacturers “new” vehicles are taking longer to come through. It wasn’t long ago where dealerships were prioitising retail customers because what few vehicles were comming through they could easily sell. Leasing companies including Motability were put at the back of the queue and I guess there is some of this still going on. Equally when vehicles are plentiful leasing companies will once again be Manufacturers largest market and AP’s may start to come down hopefully, which I expect to see reductions in q4. I also believe Motability should have competition and perhaps they would work harder to keep its customers and pay the CEO less lol. At no fault of your own, it is possibly the worse time to join the scheme however, don’t give up I’m sure you will find something maybe even one in stock! Broadning your search area maybe in the next countie/s may bring something. Look in the dealer offers thread as some dealers may have stock to go or be available soon, even AP contributions. Its also worth asking local dealers if they will match offers some do, some don’t. Also shop for a car in the last week of a month, as dealers may need to meet their targets. !st of Septembers new registrations wouldn’t have helped either. You could search places like Autotrader to see if there is any vehicles you like in stock, then email and enquire about it and once you receivea reply email again and ask if they would let you have it on the Motability scheme. Never say upfront you are from Motability. Finally some manufacturers and/or models have longer lead times than others, so it may be wise to broaden your search criteria with differnt manufacturers similar models ? Are you looking at any paticular car, size, auto or manual?

    Hi Kezo,

It needs to be an auto, enough room for my assistance dog, rear camera, parking sensors front and rear and have a good infotainment system to let me know of any issues with car itself due to inability to hear problems. Would like to move away from a diesel if possible, willing to consider hybrids but can’t do full electric. Not a fan of crossovers or many big SUVs.

Only cars I can find that may be suitable are:

BMW 118i hatchback has enough boot space and is a solid car but unsure of costs involving extras (rear camera, sensors, etc).

Ford Focus has a bigger boot and the tech but unsure the 1.0 has enough power considering I’m 6’1, 220lbs and have to transport a dog(s). Not sure auto gearbox is good from accounts.

Ford Kuga FHEV is final option just not a big fan of SUVs in general.
