Hi Kezo, Thanks for that. I don’t have anyone to make the call(s) for me as we moved recently. Advocacy services are stretched so it’s difficult to communicate. Motability said they’d communicate by email considering circumstances but it means my having to call them using Relay, which is a nightmare to use, just to get them to look for the email. I’m not expecting much from them or the grants team. Salesperson yesterday said about the paint and options that if it was a certain amount (£1,600 for example), I’d only need to contribute £400 towards that. Trying to establish what the guidelines are or if yesterday the salesperson was mistaken. Your question about either a full hybrid or plug in hybrid? It’s the former as I don’t have the means to plug in and charge where I live. I’d be ok with petrol for now if I was happy with the car and the only petrol I can see I’d like is the BMW 118i but would need to check the boot space. May have to consider waiting for the next quarter to see if anything has the correct options included with the car itself. Thanks again.

The Kuga is petrol or petrol hybrids.

Motability allow  for plain or metallic paint within the advance payment but, exlude manufacturerspecial colours. For example the Kuga metallics are £600, should you wish to go for lucid red which is £850 because its a  special colour you have to pay the difference ontop of the advance payment i.e £850-£600=£250 payable by you.

It is dealer dependant should they wish you a percentage discount on optional extra’s. Some dealers such as Renault allow you to choose any colour FOC.

Other optional extra’s above the base trim are also your responsibilty ontop of the advance payment. For example should you choose a vehicle without heated seats but, you order them as a factory option, it is your respnsibility to pay for these ontop of any advance payment. Again it up to individual dealer discretion whether or not they want to offer a discount. and this varies between dealerships.

Some dealers also have offers where they will contribute to the advance payment or offer cashback but, again this is up to the individual dealer.

When you choose your first vehicle Motability will award you £750 new vehicle contribution. You can either take this as cash in the bank or discounted off the advance payment. Please beaware some dealers make this sound like they are offering you a discount. They are not.

Edit! Its also worth baring in mind some vehicles take far long to get delivered than others, so its always worth asking

Any further questions please ask 🙂

It may be worth looking here at dealer offers. I’m sure @BigDave and guys will offer their help!
