      Hi all,

I am due to select my next vehicle in September so will be able to start looking from next quarter and I’ve already made my feelings known that I’d love the mini JCW but if it’s not available then another choice so with that in mind I visited the Renault dealership and was impressed with the Megane e tech but also the Arkana which was stunning in metallic grey with black gloss .Having seen these vehicles in the flesh I have to say Renault has done well with their vehicle designs and the specs are impressive as is the AP ?

I have been to my local Renault today and ordered the Megane e tech iconic.

The colour I wanted (midnight blue with diamond black roof) was already built at the factory, so should have no problem getting it on time for my change over date in September.

Renault have indeed done well.  One word of caution would be to check out as much as you can around the Arkana, I’ve seen mention of a few that have gone wrong and ended up returned from FB Motability groups.  It could be a few bad eggs or a sign of some 90s French manufacturing quality eeking back in.

Motability agreed for me to end the lease early on my Corsa EV.

On May 22 I began test driving….we each have unique needs.

I ordered a Renault Clio etech Hybrid on the 24th May. This year…

Today the dealership emailed me to say the car would arrive this week and I can collect it on 27th June. This year.

            About 4 weeks.

Well done Dale’s and well done Renault.

Most reports elsewhere online mentioned between 4 and 8 months.

Being at the far end of the country almost it will be good to be able to drive 100s of miles without range anxiety.

EVs will improve. Like most tech it takes time. As Nokia found out.

            Cheers

I’m 99.9% sure the Captur also has one, The Vauxhall Crossland I don’t believe has.

The Nissan Juke is a nice little car also and @mitch is getting v good mpg out of that.

Mike, the new Renault Clio E-Tech hybrid in Esprit Alpine trim “should” be on the MB list before too long… fingers crossed. Lovely looking small car. I’ve got my eye on it for early next year when I can order a new car (January). It’ll have to be better than my current Peugeot 208 GT Premium though! The 208 is due a mild facelift very soon now & both cars will be top of my list.

Have a read on the link below re: the new Clio…
