      Hi,

I am considering handing back my Qashqai early due to numerous intermittent faults, but I am not sure if I would face a charge of £50 or £250. never handed back early before in 20 years of motability, on the site it does say £250 but here some people say £50, can you advise please.

Best thing to do is ring Motability, are they aware of the faults?

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

I agree with Phaedra, you need to speak to Motability and see what they have to say.  The cancellation payment is entirely at their discretion, if they see reason to they’ll waive the fee.

Probably a good idea to really emphasise how unhappy you are with the faults in the car. They may waiver the fee due to the car being substandard.

If the car is constantly having faults you can be entitled to your whole AP back, I had a Peugeot 3008 for 2 years, the screen stopped working which controls the air con etc, Peugeot tried fixing it 5 times and failed, so motability returned me the ap

I was told by Motability two weeks ago it would be £250 to hand back early.

Thank you all for your comments, the car is having a service next week but as the faults are intermittent I don’t know if the dealer can resolve them, will decide next week whether to keep it or have a word with Motability
