Lower mileage allowance. No maintenance, repairs or insurance included. Deposit required.

Not a like for like comparison. Many PCP deals look cheaper but they don’t offer half as much for the price.

If I seem a little strange, that's because I am.

      Skoda Karoq SEL.

My daughter bought a new Mini Cooper s on a pcp deal it’s £200 a month for 4 years, so sounds great.

Add servicing, insurance, all running costs, breakdown cover after the first 12 months, plus she had to include a separate insurance scheme that mini insist on, to make sure the car is in good condition when handed back? then becomes clear what an absolute bargain the scheme is for most of us.

I totally concur with the two posters above.

Working link for the same vehicle as the OP’s  link doesn’t work:

          https://www.gateway2lease.com/cars/vauxhall/crossland-x/pre-current-crossland-x-1.2-83ps-elite-nav.php?id=300100916

although the headline figures are low, it has to be matched against the Motability figures:

As you will see, it is nil AP on Motability.

Also delving into the small print on that website, it states:

What are the criteria for being able to get a vehicle on lease?
We will introduce our customers to a finance provider. All finance providers have certain criteria that needs to be met in order to accept an individual for a PCH contract. Customers must be over 18 years of age, hold a valid UK driving licence, have 3 years’ employment history and at least a reasonable credit rating.

So, 3 years emplyment history is required along with ‘at least a reasonable credit rating’.

If you change your mind between ordering and delivery, they charge £300 plus VAT to change your mind.

Then their is their ‘Brokerage Fee’ to be added on.

In short, the headline figure will not be the price you pay (unlike Motability).

With the deal Motability gets it should be impossible for any company to beat them on price.

The only way anyone would lease privately is if they wanted a car that is not on the scheme.

Then the only cap that affects you is how much a month you can afford.
