      We will be changing our vehicle in the next few weeks. Since we last changed cars my wife’s legs have become a lot worse and she is unable to get in the car even with me lifting her. Has any one had any adaptions fitted to aid getting from a wheelchair into the car that they could recommend.

      Thanks

        You are probably best requesting an adaptations review. Take a look at the following Motability link.

                Think I will have a look at the rotating seats. I have tried the slide boards and the are no use unless the user has some strength in the upper body.

                  I have seen at shows, electric seats that rotate and come out of the car to make the transfer. One even used the frame of the wheel chair so there was no transfer to be done.

                  Is that what you meant @Joss?

                    @DumfriesDik Yes, that’s exactly what I meant.
