Mine is sitting at average 38mpg since new, but this is the 2.0l DSG (150) 4Drive, so it was never going to be brilliant. Also, much of that was bumper-to-bumper rush hour traffic and short journeys from cold. On a longer drive, I’m getting closer to 50mpg.
I’m noticing that the fuel economy is gradually improving as well. Even though you don’t need to ‘run in’ new engines these days, there does seem to be a bit of a loosening-up phase (for want of a more technical term!).
