I was told the same in Aug, i visited Stratstone BMW Leeds and they also do not do the 24 hour test drive as some cars came back damaged and some were used by criminals. The sales person did agree to a 1/2 day test drive for either the new x1 or x2.Try another BMW dealer Martino.Best of luck.
