it’s too easy ( and I’m guilty of it myself ) to dismiss other cars and their rrp
when I was working I was never able to walk into a dealership and walk out with keys to a brand new motor, and I don’t think many of friends do that either tbh
my first Motability car was my first brand new car, I’m on my 3rd now and all 3 have been well over 35k
again I don’t have too many friends or relatives that have brand new cars of this value
I don’t really have much going on in my life so I really do appreciate the car and the scheme, it’s easy to take it and the value of cars for granted when we all have our 2 pence worth on what’s better , what looks nicer, what’s best value and I wish I could use this ( I do that a lot )
so sometimes I just think back to when I had to finish working , sold everything I had to survive and ended up driving a friends old Corsa Life which couldn’t pull you out of bed in the morning lol, but I’d need pulled to get out of it ?
It took about 50 weeks from my application form to actually getting assessed for pip due to the massive backlogs at the time and when I got the decision letter I was over the moon
if they said we only provide brand new Nissan Qashqai’s I would have bit their hand off
it’s only natural to want more and nice things but sometimes we need to take a moment to reflect and put things into perspective
life isn’t easy, and we seem to have it a good bit harder than most
but despite its flaws and frustrations I say Thank God for Motability
