Hi, I have no experience of this engine but as I have had 2of these vehicles with 1.6 diesel dsg and covered some 60000mixed miles at times 6 passengers and obtained upto 50 mpg I will not be replacing with the present engine, do not think it will be as economical or reliable, The touran is a very good motor otherwise, Cheers, Mike
