Boris Johnson’s ‘Deal’ that has been presented to Brussels today has been carefully thought out to ensure only one response …. Rejection.
His advisor Cummings has designed a programme for the next 29 days which will enable Boris to claim that he really wanted a deal but the EU is to blame for making it impossible. He will blame the opposition and the EU repeatedly throughout the next four weeks for the failure to achieve a deal, in order to portray himself as a champion of the people with a General Election in mind.
No Deal was always the plan, so the so called ‘deal proposals’ sent today include a hard border component that most of us ordinary voters know is unacceptable to both the EU and the republic of Ireland.
Johnson and Cummings are playing games to ensure that the UK crashes out of the EU with no exit deal on October 31st.
