Anyhoo, my first post seems to have ruffled some feathers sadly, not my intention but for the avoidance of doubt, I would be very sad to see the Scots go but it’s up to them at the end of the day. I just think leaving one union to be independent only to go and join another seems a bit odd to say the least. Coming from the north, I feel a closer bond to our Scots neighbours than I do southerners, so yes i’d be sad to see them go but i’d wave them off and wish them luck, if that is the way they choose to go, sometime in the future. I just don’t think the SNP has put any thought into how they’d pay membership fees to the eu. When Brexit occurs the other net contributors are going to have to take in the slack, I can’t see them being too happy to have to pay for another country expecting free membership. Maybe the SNP have given full details about all that to the Scots and I haven’t heard about it but anyway, that will be for the Scots people to make their own deal and worry about.
