JS I agree, having driven both the fwd and 4wd X1’s the actual drive didn’t feel any different, down to the fact it’s fwd most of the time. But having a choice I’d choose the Diesel engine over the petrol, probably I still can’t get my head around 3 cylinder turbo petrol engines in big cars?
I’ve had diesels myself for quite a few years now, I’ve not even thought about if we would buy this car after 3 years?
We only went for the 4×4 version tiguan as again I tried both and just felt the 4wd suited the Dsg box much better, there’s no initial pause when you pull away.
Plus I read in real world driving there was very little difference in MPG and our averages 52mpg for the last 4000 miles.
All I’d need to feel happy to swap to all electric car would be a range of around 400 miles. ?
