I choose turbo diesels over petrols purely because I’m used to the low rev torque as it suits my driving style.
Ever since I owned an escort turbo diesel in the 90’s, the MPG was astonishing, the bad point was dangerous turbo lag then though, turning right at a junction was dicy as it never moved then whoosh…..
Im looking forward to large EV’s coming on the scheme if they ever do, the torque will be addictive I’m sure. Right up until it runs out of charge on a B road somewhere around Norfolk. lol
