I’ve just come back from doing some supermarket shopping and my eye was caught by a beautiful black 19 reg Peugeot 3008. The alloys and chrome work gave it a real upmarket look.
I spoke to the couple who owned it and they said how comfortable the seats were, and once they got used to the futuristic control panel (it took about a week) they were very happy with it. Getting in and out is a great improvement on the Jaguar they have at home. Their only complaint (which I agree with) was that Peugeot expect you to pay extra for mats which is a bit stingy given the current high AP’s. The interior was an attractive blend of grey and black and matched well with the exterior metallic black paint.
The driver was really friendly as was his wife and they took being quizzed by this old fella very well. They told me that the fuel returns are currently 42mpg locally and 57 mpg on a motorway journey to York. This was the 1.5 ltr auto version.
