We have now had our Countryman Phev for almost 8 months and its suits us well.The real life range i’ve had so far in summer is 18 miles and averages 14 in winter.The mpg has crept up as the miles have been put on, we are well into the forties now and its still climbing.
The Mini is great to drive and very quick with great handling, its also a very comfortable solid feeling car,the infotainment system is also good once you get used to it.
I’m lucky enough to have a charger at home so charging isn’t a problem(2.15 hrs for full charge) but i only charge a few times a week as i only go full electric in town and any urban areas, because we live in a village its all countryside between our home and Town so use the petrol and regen for this.
As i say the range might not be enough for some people but its fine for us as we do quite low miles in this car.
