As a wheelchair user I would like the option of a remote tailgate.just ordered a mondeo estate and could not have the remote boot as it’s tied in with led light option which would cost £1200.so now again have to use a boot strap.motability are offering remote for free which works horn, indicator for free so I can’t understand why this can’t be classed as an adaptation at a reduced cost.

    Hi wibbuk

I have to use a remote control for horn, indicators and main beam dip but have never seen one that’s free but that said I’ve just check the adaption price list for Q3 for this year and there is one listed at £0.00 by a company called ‘guidosimplex’ but the link is returning a “404 page not found” for me but would very much be interested in a freebie in future if indeed it is free.

The least I’ve ever paid for a remote control is £300 + and the most £700 as the price varies on almost every quarter even though its the same manufacture and model every time.

I’ve noticed that Q3 also has a remote control by Technobility and is very much the same as the Logdesons ones I’ve always used and its priced 60% cheaper than the Lodgesons so will some time in future pay a visit to a roadshow to have a look at that bargain should it still be there in two years time.
