Not every Motability customer can get the vat off a new car, it’s only if you have it heavily modified such as a scooter lift, correct me if I am wrong.
But I certainly could not contemplate buying a new car or even a nearly new car like the one I have through Motability. They are certainly not perfect and I do care about how much funds they have and about how high the wages are for the people at the top, as you have to ask where their funds have accumulated from and how they are in a position to pay such high wages, the answer is largely from what we are paying as AP’s.
But in the other hand the Motability system is certainly a god send to people like us, speaking as someone who started out in a blue three wheeled Invacar, then got DLA to pay for the running of a second hand car and insurance, before Motability came out, which changed the lives of so many severely disabled people and Motability has certainly moved on a great deal since 1977.
