Most of the MPG’s listed are a bit disappointing especially the diesels. There appears to be a trend where most cars of a particular type have similar consumption figures and those with the highest MPG’s on paper suffer the greatest fall. Aside a small number of cars renown for their thirst there appears little to choose. Having toyed with the RAV4 and Tiguan, having seen the actual figures here I am satisfied with my choice. Indeed if you look at the EQUA index it confirms many of the figures posted in this thread.
