I know the 148 engine and dsg gearbox are perfectly suited to each other, whereas the 190 doesn’t seem to be.
I once had a Passat with the 148 engine and dsg but have to say even though it’s a good engine and auto, it’s certainly not fast with 0-60 being something like 8.5 seconds.
