i picked up Ateca excellence 1.5tsi about 4 weeks ago. Like yourself was unsure, but fantastic car, just had a week away, and performed brilliant. Space is great, 4 adults and a kid, 2 wheelchairs. Was unsure about 1.5 petrol but good workhouse, average 35-41 depending now driven, that was with car full laden can’t. Spec good, only thing I would of liked would be electric tailgate, it only available xcellence lux with virtual pedal. Led lighting is so bright.
Seats, I moved from a Kia ceed, find a massive difference legs and back, nice and comfy.
Driving and handling is spot on, grips to road, good punch and power when needed. Find the electric handbrake and auto hold great, was really concerned initially but is good. Infotainment and screens are good, especially the one on the on main dash.
I am impressed, check with dealer especially with spec as changing to MY20 range.
