Also I know you were considering a private car, say you went for the same enyaq, lets assume an approved used 2025 one and lets say its vat qualifying and you’re entitled to the adaptations discount.
Lets say the car is £29K, so it’d roughly work out to £23.2K after the vat comes off. Say you did PCP and you got approved enyaq rates so they put £750 towards it and you have a balloon payment of £11669 and a £1500 deposit. Over a 48 month agreement thats around £266 a month, thats not including breakdown, insurance or anythjng like that but you’d still get most warranty.
Now adaptations, from Jeff Gosling priceless, for a 100kg hoist alone (the Apex assist) that would be £1595, for mechanical hand controls its £850 – £1995, transfer plates are £595 each. Steering balls are £65. I know it’ll vary in installation costs. So, you’d likely need to borrow an additional £6k – £8K.
Another thing to factor is in this case you get less protection if your needs change. Plus if you reward ends then you’ll be in trouble unless you work too.
