I’m sick of it. Frankly I shall be relieved when we no longer carry the stigma of being scheme customers, although I shall remain defensive of the scheme when I hear people spouting utter garbage about it.
@glos-guy Don’t think it ends when you get the new Beemer. The problem is that if and whenever you park the new Beemer in a disabled parking bay, or use a blue badge, many of those uneducated people will still assume it is a Motability vehicle! Therefore you and your vehicle will still be tarred by the same brush so to speak. I have been asked a few times if my Grenadier is, to quote one oik recently at Waitrose in Harrogate, ‘a Moby car’! As I don’t ever speak with spotty oiks (at Waitrose or otherwise) I simply blanked him, but no doubt he thinks Grenadiers are available ‘for free’ on the scheme! No doubt, when I get the new X6 as well, the same will occur. I wonder what they would make of the T7.270? A case of guilty by association (by virtue of using a disabled bay or blue badge) in many of the public’s eyes!

I shall either respond to them with “You should know that it’s not, as Neanderthal types like you convinced our lame Chancellor that BMWs were far too good for Motability customers”, or “Yep, it’s a ‘free’ £110k car paid for by hard working tax payers whilst I sit on my ar#e”. However, I shall only deliver those lines as I pull away – at speed 🤣
