I did the compare the market and although not the cheapest, Admiral Gold however looked the most attractive to me.
After the quote you have to contact them by phone, we double checked all the information I had submitted, I had a “ no fault” accident when a girl ran into the back of my car causing very minor damage. I had a new pre painted bumper fitted at home through RSA insurance this was August 2021. All insurances stated that the incident did not effect my no claims bonus.
Admiral only want to know about claims up to 3 years, unlike others that use the last 5 years.
Which is why yours didn’t increase in cost that much. Admiral were great to do business with.
What I find frustrating is, because I am not the named policyholder because my wife is classed as the main carer, thus the appointee. Being the named driver in special circumstances, they recognise my driving record, some accept my no claims discount, others don’t. But if I had an accident they would all count the accident.
