We haven’t noticed much change in our electricity bill so far, which made me question whether the hybrid route really gives us enough benefit compared to going fully electric. I mainly wanted to understand whether hybrid fuel consumption comes close to EV efficiency, and your explanation has clarified that for me. Because of that, I’m now leaning towards skipping the grant route and just going fully electric with a 5 seater that has a solid good range something along the lines of the Kia EV3. I’ll likely fund it myself putting it on a credit card. We wont be able to go anywhere as a family again but that’s all I can afford.
I’m struggling to find options with minimal upfront cost that also offer genuinely good range as well. If you or anyone else here have recommendations for reliable 5 seat EVs with a good range and good value, I’d really appreciate it.
