Various options I’ve heard mentioned in various groups and posts:
Mileage reduction, this seems to be settling on 30,000 total allowance with a hefty overrun payment.
Excess increase, £350 has been mentioned quite a lot
Cut European cover and recovery
reduction in number of drivers and the amount these drivers can be changed
Universal black box/ Smart Drive
Further reduction in cars offered
One set of tyres replaced for free
Whilst they’ve all been mentioned, nothing is for certain, the mileage reduction feels inevitable.
There’s also the outside chance that continued representation to the Treasury could result in a change of direction. Also following the poor results for the government, there’s a chance that the leadership may either change or change direction. I’m aware of a letter going to the treasury through a friendly MP signed by multiple disability charities, it’s challenging the principles behind the decisions and the impacts these are having on those who are struggling to pay these ever increasing APs.
