I agree, it does seem a bit pointless in your situation and a waste of funds. However, Whils’t the app works on most smartphones, it does not work on all Android models, especiall newer Chinese phones like Xiaomi, Oppo, Huawei, Honor, and others that don’t fully support Google Play services will not be compatible. cough
What I was refering to initially was not all Android phones have or support full google play services an and in @TheSUVguy case, where his wife turns 30 in a matter of a 4 – 5 months, he could say his wife or both of them have a such a phone that doesn’t support Google play services, effectively renering DriceSmart useless because it won’t work to its full potential.
Then by the time Motability look into it and come up with another device (see previous link), his wife would have turned 30 and there would simply be no need for one 😉
I also think its false economy for the scheme to buy such a device, that will end up being told to bin in a matter of a few short months.
@wazza you are indeed correct, that if a driver is under 30 all drivers need to participate.
