for my 10pennarth i am grateful motability is there for all its flaws personally i think any car should be available with the appropriate ap and if an individual can sfford it fill yer boots.

in my circumstance even if the bmws etc came back i couldnt afford them so its a mute point.

the killer here is that due to my financial position and errors in the past i cant get personal finance so i am restricted to mota.

the current 794 goes down to 615 as i need an automatic and if i put in my absolute max ap £750 it goes down to 55 options.

with my prefferred £0 ap it goes down to 18.

a lot of those disapear as i cant get in/out.

this time i have hit lucky as mini have introduced electric countryman with 0 ap and kia the ev4 at 0 ap.

because of the demonising of mota and the disabled in the press and by politicians it is always going to be a compromise.

ive hit lucky this time as i cant see kia and mini remaining 0 ap next quarter. future choices i expect will be harder still although i will be 70 by then so this may well be my last rodeo.

i think we need to adjust our expectations of the scheme and what it may be able to offer in the future.
