This is why I start sorting out a short list so far in advance. Time to reassess priorities. Electric seats are useful but they’re usually a signal that the seats will be more comfortable, whether that’s due to adjustability or better seats is a different matter. Powered tailgate is nice, there’s no arguing that but in some cases it’s not essential. In the ‘good ole days’ cars were steel and the tailgate was either tough to lift or close. These days there’s far more recycled materials (plastic) so doors and tailgate are lighter. So powered is less important that easy to use, clearly powered is easier but a light tailgate is just as acceptable. Heated seats/steering wheel is still mandatory. In an EV you can be warm without wasting vast amount of energy heating a large space. Cooled seats are nice but I’ve survived 30odd years without and Mrs F still feels odd when hers is on. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Wireless CarPlay isn’t an option now, I don’t think there’s a single car on my longest list that doesn’t have it. HUD I got used to, I can get used to not having. Seats must be comfortable, otherwise the car might as well have a 5kWh battery as that’s as far as we can get. Tailgate must be easy to use which still has a powered tailgate as a preference but much less so. Storage space is important, a boot big enough for a walker, dog cage plus cases would be ideal, unless the dog gets strapped to the back seat. A Frunk is useful, cables and car stuff can go in there and be accessible regardless of what else we have in the car. Space is most important. I’ve spoiled myself with the HI5, there’s elbow room for days and a lot of contenders are less roomy. Time to reconfigure the spreadsheet.

I ordered the Enyaq Sportline for security, as it was best of the bunch,
I maybe tempted to change if the EV5 GT Line S appeared for a similar AP, or less.
If the Sportline reduced in Q2, I’ll politely ask if they can change it to Q2 pricing. If they can’t, I’d consider cancelling and reordering from another dealer.

Not nice I know, and It’s something that I’ve never needed to do, as it would have to reduce more than £500 for me to do that.

I have ASD and thus have difficulty with social and understanding information, written and verbal. I process information in logical blocks, before I reply. Sometimes I'm right and sometimes I'm wrong.
I also have a corneal visual condition, which makes me visually impaired without daytime, or daytime bulbs, among other disabilities/conditions.
