Thanks for the info guys. I didn’t know anything about these. I don’t think they are for me as I think they’d spoil the look of the car, but I can see the merits. Interestingly, on the car that I test drove that had the 22” alloys that we are getting, the tyres had a protruding ridge where they met the wheel, which would achieve the same effect but be invisible. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that mine will come with the same tyres.
The insurance I’m getting costs £385 for 3 years and allows up to 10 alloy wheel repairs of up to £200 each and also pays £250 towards any tyre that is damaged through a puncture or malicious damage. As with the vehicle warranty, I hope not to use it, but having it will help me enjoy the car more and allow me to sleep at night 😂
