The EV4 has manual up/down switches for easy temperature/fan speed/direction control for both the driver and passenger, so you don’t have to use the screen. I bet you never checked using heating controls on the Mini screen whils’t driving?
There have been no reported problems on of charging issues on the EV4 or later EV3’s for that matter. Even if there was is wouldn’t you charhing with a granny charger or charging on DC at Dobbies. All cars have problems, even the 66kWh Min was recalled towards the end of 2024 for battery mangement issues causing the battery to overheat, with a risk of fire.
Don’t go paying to much attention to realiability surveys, in 2025 around 32,000 were involved in the Whatcar reliabilty survey, which covered 30 brands 227 models. Thats average of 1000 who participated in each brand and 140 people per model compared to how many cars are out there is a drop in the ocean! As the addage goes, the 1000’s upon 1000’s without problems never write reviews!
The only problem I’m aware of with the new HS was the screen going blank, which got fixed through an update. Its a cracking car or the money and has everything extra you could want, but perhaps is a little to big, but at the time you were thinking, if you needed aids to elp walk etc and fetching grow bags lol.
The Stonic (Hyundai Bayon) are small compared to what you have been looking at and smaller than what you have now, but bigger than the ec3. My concern goes back to you wanting something a bit bigger than your Juke.
The Qashqai N Connecta misses out on things that are important to you, such has heated seats and you would have to jump up to the Tekna!
