The problem with a 60kWh battery is its range in winter. 145 miles barely gets us to a motorway and with extended family oop north, it’d mean lots of stops, which you don’t want to feel forced into. At £2999, it’s only a few hundred away from the EV3 with all the kit and an established network and reputation plus over 200 miles in winter.
There’s some interesting cars around, some of which we see online as they’re still in Asia, which are priced around $30k- $38k. It’s anyone’s guess what that’ll be when they finally get here but I’d guess way beyond the £55k current cap.
There’s a really different Hi Phi just outside our local Asda that looks very interesting but, again, almost definitely out of budget. Otherwise it’s the usual Xpeng and similar names but even then there’s pricing issues for anything around the right size.
