Update time.  As the order point closes I’ll be returning to this much more frequently.  I’ve decided the criteria by which all cars will be judged.  These will be the required spec features:

    Powered Driver’s seat
    Powered Pass Seat
    Heated Seats (F)
    Cooled Seats
    Heated seats (Rr)
    Heated Steering wheel
    Powered tailgate
    V2L
    HUD
    APPLE CARPLAY

On top of that, there will be a set of criteria marked 1-10 where 10 is perfect. These are:

    Comfort

    Accessibility Front

    Accessibility Rear

Then there’s Range, Storage capacity (front and rear) and charging time (typically 20-80 but they’re getting cheeky now with some cutting 10% off and going from 30-80).

This all gets to a score out of 10.  Then the scores are divided into the AP, which gives a score per £.  This I really like as it does show just how differently some will price their cars, despite offering pretty much the same spec and comfort levels.  If anything like last time comes along, there’s going to be a last minute price reduction and the whole spreadsheet gets thrown out.  😀

    Current long list is:

    Ariya Advance (6)  £3749

    EV3 GT Line S (10)   £3299

Enyaq SE L Plus Suite (6)  £2699 (£1999 without the Suite option)

EV5 GT Line (7) – Please come down in price  £6999

    MGs6 (10)

    Cupra Tavascan V1 (3) £5499

    Ford Explorer Premium (5)  £4995

Tavascan V1 Winter Pack (4) £6499 ( the extra grand include the heat pump and heated seats)

Number in brackets are the number of features included, of those on the scheme only the EV3 matches the lot.  It is actually smaller dimensions than the Ioniq 5, and feels narrower when you’re sat in it.  The EV5 would be great with only Cooled Seats, V2L and HUD missing, which would be an adjustment but one I could live with and it’s so comfortable and spacious but that AP is ridiculous, I feel the Air should be around the EV3 GT Line S level and the GT Line around £5000, which I could stretch to for such a great place to be, I’d be happier if 5 year leasing was an option.
