I posted a number of pictures of the EV4 back when we went to the pre launch event.  There were also pics of the EV5, although that’s less relevant here.

The twisty selector is rather easy to get used to.  There will be a while when you’re reaching the wrong way for the gear stick and, if you’re used to a manual, I’ve no doubt you’ll stamp on the floor a few times where the clutch isn’t.  However, once you’ve adjusted the ease of driving electric, I’m sure you’ll love it.  I tend to put the regenerative braking to I-Pedal and then use the accelerator as a variable speed pedal that ranges from a comfortable stop to heavy acceleration.  It’s lazy but can be quite fun, although for those who drive just to get from A to B, it makes the whole process easier.

Plugging in is a piece of cake and the savings will be noticeable instantly.  Your domestic bill will increase but you’ll have no bill for those trips to the petrol station.  There’s also the added bonus of plugging in when you’re done with the car and forgetting about it until morning.

It was nice to look around the EV4 as a mini EV6 and the equipment was rather generous in the one we had a look around.

Just remember that currently you have the security blanket of being able to take yourself to appointments at short notice, if you were offered a cancellation for a hospital appointment at 3pm the same day, you might find taxis rather preoccupied with school runs.  One of the things I hated not having a car was being required to be ready at a certain time or wait until the next bus, with 2 ADHD women in the house, being a little late isn’t a rare occurrence and my blood pressure would be even worse if I had to rely on taxis (who’d get fed up waiting) or busses.

I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.
