That’s what stood out on the IM5&6, one button turned the lot off. Collision warning is a nightmare where there are sharp corners, the number of times I’m approaching a parked car just beyond a sharp right corner and the dumbass car is convinced I’m going to kill it. For some reason the car has also decided I’m too close when stopped in traffic, I can see the road behind the wheels and I’m still getting a proximity warning that it’s too close. Listening to you guys talk about the Tuscon, I’m quite convinced I’m done with Hyundai, there’s far too much intervention and it serves no purpose other than to raise my blood pressure.
I must be missing something here?
I dont have any problems with bings and bongs like you guys describe In the Ioniq 5.
Yes the lane departure chirps if you do nt signal when changing lanes. The collision thing, it only comes on when there is indeed a justified warning, and not overtly so. But they are not intrusive and I can hardly hear them as the cant compete with the music volume.
But i cant say the Hyundai bings and bongs in any way annoying, maybe my nut is good at filtering them out, what with the music and tinnitus, its lost in the background. I suppose having 50% hearing loss in both ears helps?
