Is 8m the longest? Our situation is that the driveway is at the end of the rear garden (about 17m) and when I had a survey done for a charge point for my works vehicle they said they have to dig a trench through the garden. Everything else was okay, but the landlord wasn’t keen on this. I know you can get cables up to 20m, but the need fitting by a spark. Is there any easier way of extending or getting MB to fit a longer cable?
Un-Tethered charger i.e Ohme E-Pod and 20m Type 2 lead however national companies such as Ohme will see extra work of a trench 🤑 and tell you its dangerous to run a longer lead being a trip hazard, even though the lead maybe on the garden or under a cable mat when used!
The other route is a local electrician/company and government grant £350, though you will still have to pay some towards haveing an untethered charger fitted.
