I must say I’ve driven in the snow in many cars, including having a dual carriageway to myself in a 530D which was a hoot. I do look at the tyres on many EVs and wonder just how much grip they really have. All in the interests of noise reduction and economy. I’d rather lose 5 miles a charge all year round and know I’m not ice skating in 2 tonnes of EV at the first glimpse of the white stuff.
So much for all year round independence if you can’t fit tyres with actual grip.
