Given Germany is home to so many manufacturers, it’s hardly a shock that they’re being lobbied and are passing on that lobbying to extend sales of conventional piston engined cars.
Then given that the government have very successfully muddied the message, I can’t see them being able to be ready for 2030. In fact, 2040 may be optimistic given the probable next government are still labelling them as “Stupid Green Policies”, I’d very much doubt they’d be pushing very hard.
