What this means for you
The policy is there to ensure all customers benefit from our all-inclusive lease. Overuse of services, like tyre replacements, can affect the long-term cost of the Scheme for everyone. So far during your lease, Kwik Fit have replaced 4 tyres. This brings you close to our fair usage limit.
We recommend you take extra care to extend the life of your tyres and reduce wear.
Get your vehicle serviced regularly, in line with manufacturer guidelines
Keep your tyres inflated to the correct pressure
Get your wheel alignment checked if you feel your tyres are wearing unevenly
If you continue to need tyre replacements, we might ask you to cover any future replacement costs.
We’re sharing this with you now, so you have time to take care of your tyres and avoid unexpected costs.
N.B. I obviously have no intention to leave it as is – need some time to write them back:
1. it is known issue with Skoda – alignment isn’t their strong part (Dr. Google has some examples)
2. Terrible country roads (again, I have no problem to support my statement here too)
3. Much heavier EV vehicle, causing more T&W
4. Images of my current tyres, clearly demonstrating alignment issue
Just waiting to finalise my current ombudsman case – their investigator upheld my complaint, but Motability refused and demanded it to be forwarded to the actual ombudsman, the requirement I fully supported.
