how are they going to apportion the ipt as i am sure insuring me is a lot cheaper so incurring less ipt than an under 25 year old in a city. ive been looking at getting a car outside the scheme and the average quote is under 500 per annum fully comp etc. so will the ap be adjusted accordingly. why should i subsidise higher risk drivers.

    In short, they won’t mich!

Think of it similar as a group insurance policy, where within that group there are a number of cars are assigned to indvidual users. The risk  is then shared across that group of drivers. The 12% IPT will be added to the group policy, if that makes sense lol.

What differentiates between and older more experienced driver and a less eperienced under 25 is the excess charged in the event of an accident.

Moving away from that – Many disabled drivers see heated seats, heated steering wheels and I guess 360 cameras, as need rather than a luxury. Unfortunately, this type of spec is often found in higher up trims of various models of cars and will almost always command an AP, which under the new rules will see 20% VAT added ontop of whatever that AP is. Something, I feel has been massively overlooked!
