I’m with Scotty. We tried the X1 along with 4 other cars (on extended test drives) before choosing the XC40 which was head and shoulders above the others. We would have placed the X1 in fourth place actually, due to its road noise and firm ride. It just didn’t feel ” premium”.
I take on board what Glos Guy says about the XC40 now being dated, but the suspension soaks up all kinds of bumps and ridges in an easy manor, and is in no way inferior to drive. Road and engine noise are minimal.
Just to be clear, I’m not biased, we now have a BMW i4 which we love!
