As we ended up with only a 22% charge on the trip up I wanted maximum range available for the return I really was not happy with only 22% as any detours etc. could happen.
Also the lack of chargers from Carlisle over the A69/68 home was also a worry, I found a couple of expensive one’s just south of Carlisle on Electroverse then not really much else until Haltwhistle or Hexam. The A69/68 is not a place I would like to be stuck on.
Tyre pressures were checked at the weekend prior to the trip, washer fluid was filled with 50% Prestone concentrate and spare clothes, blankets and 2 flasks of soup and tea were packed as well. As I said I go to Otterburn fairly regularly and have almost been cut off with snow/freezing temperatures even in May!!.
