    @Rich44 I absolutely get the cheaper running costs of EVs (well, for now, until charging per mile or some such scheme is introduced, as it inevitably will to replace fuel duty), but you must have had some shockingly bad ICE cars? I’ve owned dozens, and driven hundreds, of ICE cars and never experienced those issues. If you can smell exhaust a p fumes it’s going to be from a car that you are following (and you can be stuck behind a knackered car whatever you are driving) and the only cars I’ve ever noticed steering vibrations were old school diesels, which thankfully I’ve never owned!

    I’m rather sensitive to them after an incident decades ago, it’s not the cars are bad they’ve all been bangers as such but all in good order but it’s the slight smell triggers associations iykwim.

    I think you’re over thinking the issue it doesn’t take much to make me feel ill it’s a psychological reaction not physical I was trying to not go into it but thought I should clarify lol.
