Put tariffs on chinese cars.
The EU tried that and China hit back with anti dumping in several areas. The EU looking to apply a set of anti dumping probes on China, China will respond, it gets you nowhere and if China limits EV battery materials such as cells, europes EV sector will grind to a halt.
The strange thing is EU manufacturers didnd want tariffs applied on Chinese cars, I guess the reason was because they are in bed with Chinese manufacturering partnerships in China.
