Manufacturers are really taking the mickey out of Scheme users. Or are lead times the same for their retail customers?
Quite obviously, lead times are the same. The factory doesn’t know what kind of person the car goes to.
How do people go on if they’re only allowed 3 months before being allowed to order? Particularly, if it’s true, that extending is now frowned upon?
You order in “your order window”. If you order a car that has a longer lead time, you stay in your current car until you pick the new one up. It’s not an extension.
For reference, we waited 15 months for our GTE.
