Moved my main PC and laptops over to Win11 Pro about a month ago. Lot’s of things to remove and “adjust” using registry hacks like full Win7/10 style right click menus, removing notifications, last programs used etc. showing in Start menu and other Win11 bloatware.
Once that was done I made an Acronis image and loaded it onto all the laptops so same user profile, desktop settings and programs on each, documents etc all synchronised and backed up to Google Drive as well as a separate Gen4 NVMe external drive via USB/Thunderbolt 4. Means I can do a full Acronis image (about 60Gb) in well under 5 minutes.
Switched offline cloud storage from Dropbox to Google Drive, three times the free storage capacity (15Gb) and access from any amount of devices.
So far Win11 is running OK, not happy with a few things like clicking time/date doesn’t show the clock when it opens up and there’s a useless notification box that also comes up but can’t be removed. Apparently the next update should give the option to change both options.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
