I take it no ones interested in an upmarket MG 😂

A self contradicting phrase “Upmarket MG”.

IM are a separate brand everywhere else and are separate for a reason.  I wouldn’t expect either of these to appear or feel cheap although there will still be the valid Chinese questions.

Tesla model 3 and Y equivalents will mean they must be targeting undercutting Tesla on price, which can only be a good thing for the customer.  Both cars look  fantastic on the video.  I can see a few things people will find fault with and I can see control through the big lower screen being an issue but I love the look of that huge screen above the dash with what looks like a 4k minimum standard screen.  I’d also suspect that there’s a lot of driving controls that are only accessible through the screen that will prove a distraction.

It looks very close to the Teslas its competing with but appears better built, better materials and less minimalist.

Looking at the MG website, the configurator has the IM6 between £48k to £53k for the 100kWh battery version.  IF that can offer over 400 miles and 17 minute 10-80% recharging then it’ll be a winner.

IM5 starts at £39450 for the 75kWh and stops at the £48,495 100 Performance model.

Prices look very suitable for future scheme cars and they’d be ones I’d be very interested in looking at should that ever happen.
