I always drive in B.
It’s vastly more economical than D on the journeys I do if you master the one foot driving style to make the most of the regen. I’m 40k miles in and tried D on different journeys but just not as good.
My wife prefers D without touching the paddles or doing one foot. She likes an easy life. But I get much better economy than her.
I lost interest in the paddles very quickly after getting the car as they just overcomplicate the driving.
I never use adaptive cruise as it isn’t economical enough. Cruise is only economical if your car maintains a constant pace. Normal cruise managed that and you just needed to overtake to keep your pace going. Adaptive cruise slowing the car down defeats the object and you just burn more energy speeding back up.
