More often than not, repeated delays to Motability orders are because the dealer didn’t order the car from the manufacturer when you ordered it from them, as they didn’t have any available build slot allocations. Dealers will almost never volunteer this information and lead you to believe that the car has been ordered when, in reality, they have sat on it for a month (or two or three). I’ve never ordered a Peugeot, but if it works like most other manufacturers the dealer should be able to give you a tracking number within a few days of you ordering. If they won’t provide it it’s almost certain that they haven’t ordered the car and you might as well try somewhere else, but always ask “do you have any immediately available build slot allocations?”. That way they know what you are talking about and are less likely to palm you off.
