Pleased it went well for you but please don’t fall into the lazy trap of labelling people EV haters. The cost is one thing (glad it worked out in this case) but it’s the planning (as you did) and the necessity to make stops that I wouldn’t other wise make (and the time involved with them) that puts me off.
That’s the thing, as the network continues to expand, the need for planning reduces.
I often hear that people don’t want to stop for 45 minutes but stop when their (or the kids) bladders dictate. Thus, if you plug in every time you stop, even if you don’t really need it, then you don’t find yourself planning or running out.
